THE SEARCH PROCESS (HEADHUNTING)

Octane's consultants are highly trained and have the in-depth sector knowledge and recruitment experience to give real top-quality advice to clients and candidates alike.  They are otherwise known as headhunters.  

Octane's consultants carry out Searches for candidates that match each client's defined and detailed brief (candidate profile).

Octane seeks to work with clients as true business partners;

Octane works closely with both senior management and the HR team;

At the outset, Octane invests time in gaining an in-depth understanding of clients':

° business strategies

° goals

° problems and key issues

° people-resourcing needs

° culture and management style; and  

Octane seeks to understand from clients the career advantages and opportunities they can offer to high calibre candidates and to understand why people enjoy working for the client.


From the entire national pool of qualified individuals, Octane's research team and consultants identify suitable individuals that very closely match each client's required candidate profile.

Octane is not an agency. It does not keep a database of people looking for a job.

Octane's researchers and consultants are constantly approaching and identifying talented individuals.


Octane's consultants directly approach these suitable individuals with a view to creating interest in the client and the specific role opportunity.  Importantly, Octane's consultants motivate and interest individuals who are not actively looking.  

Once interest is established, Octane's consultants assess each individual's suitability by using a thorough interview process.  

After these interviews, the client is provided with a shortlist of candidates (usually no more than 3 or 4), all of whom are well qualified and extremely interested in being appointed to the role.

The short-listed candidates will then attend several stages of interview with the client and may also participate in psychometric testing.  

Octane's clients and candidates are treated with equal respect.  Headhunting, introducing top calibre individuals and managing the recruitment process requires a clear understanding of the needs of all participants.  Octane treats all people in a strictly confidential manner.  Octane's consultants treat clients' business information in the strictest of confidence.  Candidate details are also held in the strictest of confidence.  Octane never sends a candidate's details to a client without the candidate's express approval.  Octane insists that its clients treat candidates with respect at all times and also hold their details in the strictest of confidence.

EVERY SEARCH IS UNIQUE

Once a client's brief is fully understood, Octane is able to recommend the best and most cost-effective Search approach to reliably provide the required outcome in terms of candidate quality and timing.  There may be several options.

Octane offers a flexible service to suit each individual client and the technical needs of each unique Search.  Database / advertised selection agencies 'hopefully' provide the required recruitment solution.  Search does not rely on chance.

WHAT OCTANE CHARGES

We understand the financial pressures within the fiercely competitive FMCG market place.  We therefore recommend solutions that take account of the quality of outcome required versus the cost of achieving it.

We will agree a fee for our service that reflects the difficulty of the Search, the required level of specialist expertise and the resources that need to be deployed to produce the required outcome.
